Aloha and a big congratulations to the entire crew of Tiki Blue on your great accomplishment! You were able to turn your unforeseen boat problems on the open ocean into still being able to be very competitive in the end which even the salty old mariner would be proud of you as I am! You all deserve a much needed dose of some modern conveniences like a hot shower and lots of rest and relaxation after all of your hard work and plenty of sleep depravation for the past twelve days!
Special congrats to my brother-in-law Captain Gary for successfully bringing in everyone safe and sound on the completion of this dangerous and exciting adventure! You are now an open ocean veteran sail boat Captain! To my nephew Ryan, I guess it just wasn't good enough to receive your Eagle Scout merit badge this Summer but now you have really transitioned into manhood when holding up your end of the duties and responsibilities which you fulfilled so well on this long and difficult voyage...very proud of all of you which you now deserve all of the great Hawaiian hospitality that you can absorb!
